Concordia University Wind Symphony | Fall Tour Concert
Come hear the Concordia University Wind Symphony Live at Trinity!
The Wind Symphony from Concordia University Chicago will perform a concert of sacred and secular music at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, 6850 W 159th St. in Tinley Park, on Sunday, October 22 at 4 p.m. as part of the ensemble’s Fall Tour, October 20-22. The concert is open to the public, and admission is free.
The concert will include A Festival Prelude by Alfred Reed, Wayfaring Stranger by Christopher Nelson, Galop from“The Comedians” by Dimitri Kabalevsky, Doxology by Samuel Marquart, selections from Star Wars by John Williams, Rossano Galante’s Sailing with Whales, My Faith Looks Up to Thee by Timothy Rhea, Dan Forrest’s Shalom, and Flying Jewels by James M. David.
The Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dr. Richard R. Fischer, has performed in 43 states, Canada, Europe, Asia and South Africa as well as twice at Carnegie Hall. The ensemble has commissioned and premiered numerous wind compositions and produced 16 acclaimed recordings of sacred wind music.
